no, i haven't dissappeared...at least not indefinitely!
Oops...looks like the busyness of life has gotten to me...but! Don't you worry, that doesn't mean I forgot to be thankful amidst it all. I've kept up the Thankful Thursday tradition every week still, but just haven't posted the lists. This week, I'll make sure to put them up! Until then, have a great Thursday!

I'm Thankful four...
Yesterday was Thursday, yet again. I really do look forward to Thursday every week and this week was even better because I got about double the people participating in this week's Thankful Thursday, it was so great!!!
This past week I am thankful for: people who make me laugh, people who are patient and understanding, music...yet again :o), a nice warm coat, a good comfy blanket, promptings from the Holy Ghost, the ability to walk and run, hugs that seem to make everything better, the scriptures, mindfulness, being able to let go of past hurts and shortcomings because of the Atonement, my amazing friends, weekly devotional, my Grandma, my manager for helping me when I was locked out of my apartment, that I attend a university where we begin each class with prayer and talk about the gospel and invite the Holy Ghost every day in every class, and the feeling you get after going running in the morning.
what others are thankful for:
()()() I'm thankful for phone calls, teacher's letting me out early, sleeping in, hard work, feeling happy all day, burt's bees, a warm coat, great roommates, marshmellows, pandora.com, and so much more!
()()() I'm thankful for my parents and the example they set for me!
()()() Today I'm thankful that we paid off our van! Yeah, no more car payments!! :)
()()() BYU playing some decent basketball.
()()() I'm grateful for Zumba classes, the Book of Mormon, Nephi's amazing example, the In-Styler, fuzzy socks, great co-workers, comfy computer chairs, back massages =D, birthday cakes, opportunities to showcase and increase my talents, pizza, great friends, jewelry, prayer, cell phones, family, church and food =D
()()() I'm thankful for trials; they're tests of your own strength and they help you see your true potential...for supportive friends and family that encourage you no matter what, for in-depth conversations, random amazing adventures, popcorn chicken & honey mustard from Sonic, reading and internalizing the scriptures, the ability to write, creativity in all shapes and forms, second chances, children, I'm thankful to have a heart and also for my mother's beef stew that can make even the coldest of days wonderful. And I know I wouldn't have any of those things to be thankful for if it wasn't for my Heavenly Father :)
()()() I am thankful for a God who trusts us to do hard things, and who stands ready to deliver us when the time is right.
()()() I'm thankful for Jenny!! ^^ the post office, bus rides where you can talk to new people, the ability to learn, inspiration, whisperings of the Holy Ghost, healthy food, amazing friends, the scriptures, and love in my heart for others and from others. Pretty sunsets, stars, uplifting music. :)
()()() YOU! :) And chocolate, singing in a choir, honest people, literature, the Spirit, men who honor the Priesthood, comfy shoes, ward choir and thankful texts.

Thankful for...number TWO
It's Thankful Thursday yet again :o) This past week I'm thankful for: warm coats, long drives and good chats with friends, trust from others, sincere compliments, prayer, peace that music brings, talents from God, the fact that everyday is a new day, inspired religion teachers with testimonies, and drinking a big glass of milk after eating a warm cookie :o)
What others are thankful for (I must sadly admit that I lost everyone's responses except for the following):
}}{{ that i have a house to live in and a reliable car that starts even though it's brutally cold :)
Even though there were many other responses from other participants...and I lost them...and therefore they are not here on this blog post...I'm still thankful for everyone who contributed!

This week was a bit busy for me with school and work...and Thursday felt like Friday. But luckily, one of my roommates knew me well enough that on Thursday night at around midnight she asked me how Thankful Thursday was and what I was thankful for.
So...for the second time being late on this (oops!)...I am thankful for: thoughtful friends, hugs!, the ability to learn new things and apply them to your life, the ability to have a paradigm shift (theories class on my mind...), the fact that Heavenly Father put other people on the earth at the same time, trust from others, trials, challenges, the ability to listen, the talents of others and their willingness to share, honesty, heaters in your car, laughter and a really good cinnamon roll.
What others are thankful for:
/|/|/| I'm thankful for prayers, for being in a relationship with a wonderful guy :), for homemade bread, movie marathons, second chances, chocolate, sleeping in lol... my parents, and I'm thankful for this gospel. :)
/|/|/| I love your list!!! I'm grateful for beautiful drives to the temple - even though the temple isn't ope (didn't know that before 5 seconds ago), scripture study, the Holy Ghost, $$ to pay for the long drives to the temple, talents, Sibelius 6-a music writing software, midi keyboards, heat!, and the sweet peace this gospel brings :) Mmm...cinnamon rolls!!
/|/|/| I'm thankful for blind dates, hummus, Quebec, second chances, choir, best friends, the gospel plan, and a friend who reminded me that being thankful = joy! Love you, Jenny!
/|/|/| So many things, but visiting teaching is the one that's on my mind today.
Thank you all who participated this week! I really do feel blessed for the wonderful opportunities I've been given and the wonderful people I have in my life.

Thankful Thursday # One
It's Thankful Thursday! This past week I'm thankful for the ability to learn, respect from others, laughter and how it brightens any day or mood, acts of service from others, friends who constantly listen, generous giving family and the wonderful feeling of hope. Oh, and definitely hot chocolate. :o) What are you thankful for?
What others are grateful for:
::: I'm thankful for a job, except when it gets in the way of baking plans that I am trying to make with friends who I am also very thankful for. And Definitely Hot Cocoa. :)
::: I'm thankful for understanding professors, warm soup, and cough drops.
::: I am extremely thankful for people who keep their Christmas lights up even after the holidays. Makes me happy just to see glimmering lights :) For my little brothers who always know how to make me laugh with the silly things they do, Disney movies and songs, for the power of prayer, for my Dad and his sense of humor, reconnecting with old friends, handwritten letters and the power of baked goods therapy. :)
::: I'm thankful for my amazing fiance and all the smiles he brings me, good memories, music that makes me want to dance, and exercise so I can feel healthy!
::: I'm thankful for supportive family members, good food :) church, the ability to as for Christlike attributes, and Apostles :)
THANK YOU for all who participated!

the reason(s) why
I normally don't make new years resolutions, but after talking with a friend tonight I decided that I should make one for this upcoming year...
Thursday, in my book, is Thankful Thursday.
Every Thursday...alright, almost every Thursday...for the past year or so I have written down, typed or text what I am thankful for. At times I will send a text out to 10-20 people not only sharing with them what I am thankful for in the past week, but will ask them what they are thankful for. Without fail I get multiple responses back overflowing with gratitude and happiness and I have loved reading all the things that people who are dear to me are thankful for. Because of this and the other great positive results I've seen in my life by constantly striving to find things to be thankful for, I have decided that this next year, 2012, I will do my best to continue doing this as well as record my Thankful Thursday experience, ALWAYS including my own thankful list. I really think that this would not only be a great way to remember all the things I'm thankful for throughout this next year, but it will be great to be able to access it whenever and re-read the things I've said and that others have shared.
So, here's to my New Year's resolution and all the thankful days ahead! Cheers!
